DOH Issuing Updated EQUAL Award Letters Again
(Dec. 3, 2024) LeadingAge NY has learned from the Department of Health (DOH) that they will again be rescinding and reissuing their Intent to Award letters for the adult care facility (ACF) Enhancing the Quality of Adult Living (EQUAL) Program. This serves as an update to our previous reporting, as the Department discovered another error that has affected the calculation of the award. DOH reports that all Non-Awardee letters remain in effect. We anticipate that new Award letters will be issued today, Dec. 3rd, or soon thereafter.
LeadingAge NY advocated for an extension to the amount of time you will have to submit an expenditure plan given the multiple changes and the holidays. We are pleased to report that DOH plans to provide additional time.
