DOH Issues Long-Awaited Notice of 2018 SSI Rates for ACF Residents

The Department of Health (DOH) has just posted the announcement of the Congregate Care Level 3 Supplemental Security Income (SSI) rate effective Jan. 1, 2018 for adult care facility (ACF) residents. There will be a small increase in the rate due to the federal cost of living adjustment, which is applied to the federal portion of the benefit only. The information in the Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) is consistent with the information we provided members in November. The DAL also provides notices to provide to your residents, and requirements about providing notice to residents for an increase in rates. Members who serve SSI recipients should review the DAL and notices. Please let us know if you have any questions.
