DOH Issues DAL for ACFs for Consideration in Evacuation and Emergency Plans

The Department of Health (DOH) issued a Dear Administrator letter (DAL) for adult care facilities (ACFs), noting that facilities should be considering the specialized needs of residents in the event of an emergency, upon admission and in emergency planning. Acknowledging that the ACF population has become frailer over the years, the DAL provides some guidance to consider in developing and updating emergency and evacuation plans.
