DOH Issues Application for Enriched Housing Operating Assistance Program
The Department of Health (DOH) has released the application for funding for the Enriched Housing Operating Assistance Program. The purpose of the program is to enhance the quality of care provided to individuals receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits by providing additional funding to certified Not-For-Profit (NFP) Enriched Housing Program (EHP) operators to improve service delivery to eligible residents and to assist in meeting residents’ needs. NFP EHPs who serve SSI beneficiaries are eligible to apply, given they meet the Conditions for Participation.
A total amount of $380,000 is available for the 2023-24 state fiscal year. The payment amount for each eligible EHP operator will be calculated semiannually based on the number of each EHP’s residents in receipt of SSI benefits, as self-reported to the Department via submission of monthly resident rosters. Payments made to eligible EHP operators under this program must be used only for expenditures incurred by providing services to residents in receipt of SSI benefits.
Members are reminded that payments are issued via the Statewide Financial System (SFS). Be certain, if providing your SFS number, that it is accurate, to avoid any payment issues.
Applications must be submitted electronically by 5 p.m. on Sept. 5th. Below are documents related to this announcement:
