DOH Expands Equivalency List for ACFs

DOH has issued an updated equivalency list for Adult Care Facilities (ACFs) to include electronic and medication management and documentation systems. DOH is now approving all systems, as long as they meet certain conditions outlined in the equivalency document. Providers must notify the Department if they choose to use an equivalency. LeadingAge New York has been advocating for increased flexibility as new technologies emerge, and we are pleased at this development. We are interested in hearing about member experience with different systems.
