ACFs are Reminded: EQUAL Applications Due Mon. Nov. 9th!

Adult care facility (ACF) members are reminded to submit completed EQUAL applications by Mon., Nov. 9th. Please note that there was confusion about the due date because the application indicates a due date of Thursday, Nov. 9th. We have confirmed with the Department of Health that the due date is indeed Monday Nov. 9th by 5:00 p.m. Click here for more information about the application.

Members are also reminded that the Governor vetoed the bill that would have permitted EQUAL funds to be spent within the fiscal year that the funds were made available. This bill sought to protect the long-standing practice that would allow facilities to get started on EQUAL projects that residents wanted, in anticipation of the application. Unfortunately, this type of flexibility is no longer permitted.
