ACF and Assisted Living Providers Are Reminded of Upcoming Deadlines
LeadingAge NY knows you are busy, so we want to make sure you don’t miss a funding opportunity or a reporting deadline. Adult care facility (ACF) and assisted living members are reminded of the following:
ACF Financial Report Due May 15th
The ACF Financial Report is due May 15, 2022. The Department of Health (DOH) has indicated that failure to meet the deadline may result in a citation and accrual of a $100/day penalty. All ACF and assisted living providers must submit the report. To date, approximately one-fourth of the ACFs in the state have not yet started the report, and just under half of the ACFs in the state have submitted; many are in “saved” status, and several are incomplete. Members are reminded to save and submit the report upon completion. Questions may be directed to DOH at acffinrpt@health.ny.gov.
Enriched Housing Subsidy Application Due May 23rd
DOH issued a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) on May 2nd announcing that the application for the Enriched Housing Operating Assistance Program, also known as the Enriched Housing Subsidy, is now available for State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2022-23. The purpose of the program is to enhance the quality of care provided to individuals receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits by providing additional funding to certified Not-For-Profit (NFP) Enriched Housing Program (EHP) operators to improve service delivery to eligible residents and to assist in meeting residents’ needs. Members are encouraged to review the DAL, Conditions of Participation, and Roster. The application can be accessed on the Health Commerce System (HCS) and must be submitted by 5 p.m. on May 23, 2022. Questions regarding this program should be directed to DOH’s Lakshmi Ravichandran at 518-408-1624 or acffinrpt@health.ny.gov.
EQUAL Application Due June 15th
Members are also reminded that the application for Enhancing the Quality of Adult Living (EQUAL) Program funds is available and due by 5 p.m. on June 15th. Operators of Adult Homes and EHPs who provide services to individuals receiving SSI, State Supplemental Program (SSP) benefits, Safety Net (SN) assistance, and/or Medicaid (with respect to residents of assisted living programs) are eligible for EQUAL Program payments. The purpose of this program is to enhance the quality of care and life experience for residents. Questions regarding the EQUAL Program should be directed to DOH’s EQUAL Program Team via email to equal@health.ny.gov.
Members are encouraged to reach out with any questions you might have regarding any of the above.
