ACF and Assisted Living Members Are Reminded of Upcoming Deadlines

(Oct. 15, 2024) With many different deadlines coming up fast, LeadingAge NY wanted to ensure that our adult care facility (ACF) and assisted living members did not miss a thing!

QSIR

All ACFs must submit the Quarterly Statistical Information Report (QSIR) by Oct. 31st. Click here for more information.

ARPA Funding

Assisted living programs (ALPs) and adult day health care (ADHC) programs that received American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds are waiting for the Department of Health (DOH) to issue the first quarter reporting survey to allow providers to report spending details and documentation to date. Given the late issuance of the survey, DOH had extended the deadline for reporting to Mon., Oct. 21, 2024. Please be aware that this document has still not been posted for providers as of the writing of this article. We have inquired with DOH and advocated for an extension to the due date, but do not have any additional insights as of yet. More information on the funding initiative is available here, with details under "Initiative Information."

EQUAL

ACFs that provide services to individuals receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), State Supplement Program (SSP) benefits, Safety Net (SN) assistance, and/or Medicaid (with respect to residents of ALPs) are eligible for Enhancing the Quality of Adult Living (EQUAL) Program payments. The purpose of this program is to enhance the quality of care and life experience for residents. The application deadline for EQUAL funds is 5 p.m. on Oct. 24th. Click here for more information.

Enriched Housing Subsidy

Not-for-profit Enriched Housing Program (EHP) providers that serve SSI recipients are eligible to apply for EHP Subsidy funding. The purpose of the funding is to enhance the quality of care, improve service delivery, and assist in meeting residents’ needs. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Oct. 29th. Click here for more information.

Conclusion

We encourage members to pay close attention to these deadlines. Failure to submit required reports can result in violations. Reports that are required as a condition of funding can jeopardize the funding, and failure to meet application deadlines for funding will make you ineligible for the funding. Please let us know if you have any questions.
