ACF and Assisted Living Members Are Reminded of Change in Platform for Medical Equipment Waiver Submissions
Adult care facility (ACF) and assisted living members are reminded that effective Sept. 1st, the Department of Health (DOH) is requiring the submission of medical equipment waiver requests on a new platform. While the process itself is not different, the information will no longer be submitted through the Health Commerce System (HCS). The Department has already been processing waiver requests on the new platform and reports that it is working much better than the initial electronic process on the HCS, and the length of time it takes for a determination is reduced significantly. We welcome member input on this process as you use it.
