Enriched Housing Subsidy Application for Current Fiscal Year Due Feb. 26th

The 2020-21 Enriched Housing Program (EHP) subsidy application is available via the Health Commerce System (HCS) for eligible EHPs. For your convenience, we provide the Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) here and the attachment here. The electronic application is due by Feb. 26, 2021. Members are encouraged to review the materials carefully to ensure that the application is submitted in its entirety and in accordance with all requirements. The subsidy is available to not-for-profit EHPs that serve Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients. While we are pleased to see that the State is finally taking the first step toward distributing this current fiscal year’s EHP subsidy funds, it is late, and the total amount available has been reduced from the appropriated $380,000 to $304,000. The program is also eliminated in the Governor’s Executive Budget proposal for the 2021-22 fiscal year. Members are encouraged to send a letter to your representatives regarding the need for more financial relief, not the many cuts to adult care facilities (ACFs) in the Executive Budget proposal like this one. The letter takes just a few minutes to send, and you can personalize it however you would like. The link can be shared with anyone who might be interested in sending a letter.
