DOH Issues Hot Weather Advisory for ACFs

The Department of Health (DOH) has posted the annual hot weather advisory for adult care facilities (ACFs) on the Health Commerce System (HCS). The Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) reminds ACFs of their regulatory requirements and responsibilities during the hot weather months, special considerations for certain conditions and medications, and resources. The information is designed to ensure that residents are safe and comfortable during the warm weather months. Information included in the DAL must be posted conspicuously in a place accessible to residents and staff.
