SNALR Voucher Demonstration Program Manual Now Available
Earlier this month, the Department of Health (DOH) reached out to Special Needs Assisted Living Residence (SNALR) providers to remind them of the opportunity to participate in the Special Needs Assisted Living Voucher Demonstration Program. Through this program, residents of SNALRs who are spending down their resources may be eligible to apply for some state support to remain in the SNALR. DOH has developed a new manual that provides more information about the demonstration program. Any SNALR that wants to participate in the program must complete the facility attestation form on page 8 of the manual, scan it, and email it to ALTCteam@health.ny.gov no later than Aug. 1, 2018. DOH reminds providers that voucher payments will be made through the Statewide Financial System (SFS), and thus the facility SFS Vendor Identification Number must be included on the attestation form.
