UAS-NY Updated with New ICD-10-CM Codes

The Department of Health (DOH) issued a new alert for Uniform Assessment System for New York (UAS-NY) users announcing that new ICD-10-CM codes are now available for use. These changes align with updates published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in response to COVID-19. The update includes six new diagnosis codes implemented by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS).

The updated ICD codes will automatically download to the user’s existing UAS-NY Offline Application without requiring a new version of the Offline Application. The download will occur when the user syncs their Offline Application to the UAS-NY Online Application. Be advised that at point of download, the sync may take longer than usual. Members should contact the UAS-NY Help Desk at 518-408-1021 or uasny@health.ny.gov. DOH asks that you provide your Health Commerce System (HCS) User ID when contacting them.
