Person-Centered Planning Virtual Training Offered Free of Charge
The Department of Health (DOH) has announced person-centered planning virtual training opportunities, which are offered at no cost to people who are providing, using, and overseeing home and community-based services (HCBS) in the state. Person-centered care is a key component of the federal HCBS Settings Rule, which provides parameters regarding services that are provided under certain HCBS settings paid for by Medicaid. The Rule requires that recipients of these services receive informed choice of services, supports, and residences in compliance with the person-centered planning standards of the HCBS Rule. Participation in training through this training initiative can demonstrate efforts to come further into alignment with these standards.
