Outstanding Funding Headed for Medicaid ALPs
(Feb. 11, 2025) The Department of Health (DOH) is poised to distribute the federal portion of Medicaid funding enacted in the 2024-25 State Budget for Medicaid Assisted Living Programs (ALPs). Providers received the State-share portion of this funding, half of the total $15 million allocated, as a lump sum payment in mid-October. The same amount, calculated as $2.11 per 2023 billed resident day, will be included in Medicaid payment cycle 2478 scheduled to be released on March 5th. The associated Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) is available here. While the federal approval included funding for Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) and Hospice, those payments are yet to be processed. Federal approval for the analogous nursing home funding is still pending.
