DOH Provides Clarifications Regarding ALP Expansion Process

LeadingAge NY met with the Department of Health (DOH) last week to review the newly released assisted living program (ALP) expansion application. DOH clarified that letters of recommendation are not required. Many other parts of the required schedules do not apply to this situation, in which case you can indicate “N/A” or no change. If members have questions about the application, they are encouraged to contact us.

The deadline of June 30, 2018 is a hard deadline. DOH anticipates that there will be more beds available than requested. The 90-day timeframe for an expedited review begins once the Department receives a complete application.
