ALP Minimum Wage Survey Due Friday
Assisted Living Program (ALP) providers should be aware that the minimum wage survey distributed by the Department of Health (DOH) on Sept. 30th is due along with the attestation form no later than Fri., Oct. 14th. It is important to note that unlike previous minimum wage surveys that collected hours by wage band and provided funding only if existing wages were below the new minimum wage, this survey collects all Medicaid hours. The State intends to provide funding for all of these hours, regardless of the wage currently being paid. Because of this, it is critical that all programs complete the survey, including those that pay their aides wages that are above the new aide minimum wage.
More information, along with links to the Dear Administrator Letter (DAL), survey form, instructions, and attestation form, is available here.
Members should review the instructions carefully and reach out to DOH or to us if they have questions or encounter any difficulties completing the survey by the Oct. 14th due date. While the Department set the quick turnaround time hoping to minimize the delay in issuing the funding, we understand that it may pose a hardship to some members. Questions or requests for additional time should be addressed to ALP-Rates@health.ny.gov. We ask that you copy us in on your concerns and questions and invite you to reach out if we can be of assistance.
