New assessment tool to be implemented for ALPs in additional counties starting May 1.

DOH presented an overview of the Assisted Living Program (ALP) rate crosswalk, explaining ALP billing changes when the program transitions to the Uniform Assessment System (UAS-NY) assessment tool. DOH began piloting the UAS-NY for ALPs and other providers March 1 in Broome, Chautauqua, Otsego and Warren counties; and plans to gradually implement the tool by region and program, with it being fully implemented by March 2014.  To learn more about this transition and the information presented by DOH, read more.
