Licensed Nursing Home Administrators

LeadingAge New York's educational affiliate, the Foundation for Long Term Care (FLTC), is a certified sponsor of professional continuing education with the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Long Term Care Administrators (NAB). Eligible programs are submitted for continuing education credit for nursing home administrators under its sponsor agreement with NAB/NCERS. State licensure boards, however, have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses.

CEUs may be awarded to licensed nursing home administrators for participation in approved programs. Please reference the program details to determine if a program is eligible for NAB credit.

To receive credit for your participation in an eligible program, complete the following steps:

1. Indicate the type of credit you seek during registration for the program.

2. Provide your NAB Registry ID number where indicated during registration.

3. Fill out the digital evaluation(s) provided for the program.

4. Confirm that your NAB CE registry is complete (see more information below).

Credit will be submitted to NAB upon request and verification of hours attended.

CEUs are reported directly to the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Long Term Care Administrators (NAB) within 30 days following the program. To access your NAB CE Registry, please visit https://www.nabweb.org/manage-my-account.

NAB CE Registry:

As a licensed nursing home administrator, you should have been notified that NAB has developed a national CE Registry for all licensed NHAs to be used for electronically reporting CEU credits.  As a sponsor of NAB, LeadingAge New York/FLTC will begin reporting all credits earned to the registry, as required, starting immediately (January 2018). If you haven’t done so, please sign up with NAB’s CE Registry as soon as possible in order for this process to work.

How to sign up: Signing up is free and only takes 3 minutes. Individuals can simply visit https://www.nabweb.org/manage-my-account. If you do not currently have a NAB user account, you will need to choose “Not a Member? Sign up!” Once signing up for a NAB account, you will see a link to access your CE Registry.

What does this mean?  This registry will replace paper certificates issued by sponsors of NAB, including LeadingAge New York/FLTC.  Going forward, simply visit the NAB CE Registry to access your NAB CEU information.  No more stressful renewal time and looking for that one missing CE certificate!
