Cabrini of Westchester represented at national conference Cabrini of Westchester is excited to share that Lorraine Campanelli, director of Cabrini Immigrant Services (CIS), and CIS volunteers Ellen Tessitore and Deborah Mosley were invited to present a workshop for the Expressive Therapies Summit 2021 that took place on April 22nd. The three-hour workshop, ‘Intergenerational, Intercultural Art and Storytelling for Healing Depression, Anxiety and Isolation,’ was presented virtually to a national audience due to health precautions because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Olshan, O’Connor break ground for affordable Bronx development A partnership led by Olshan Properties and O’Connor Capital Partners, in conjunction with the New York City Housing Development Corporation and Department of Housing Preservation and Development, has begun construction on a new 221-unit senior affordable housing development in the Parkchester section of the Bronx. The development, which will be called Parkchester Gardens, is expected to be completed by mid-year 2023. Selfhelp Community Services will provide on-site services and programming for building residents, funded by a contract from the New York City Human Resources Administration.
