Member News “Operation Lifting Spirits” gifts 125 Brothers of Mercy Residents: During the month of December, the Western New York community stepped up to make a difference in the lives of 125 residents and patients at the Brothers of Mercy Wellness Campus. For this year’s Giving Tuesday campaign, which ran Tues., Dec. 1^st, the organization launched “Operation Lifting Spirits,” which allowed donors to anonymously send residents a Christmas care package. Gifts, which were delivered on Tues., Dec. 15^th, included cookie care packages and beautiful poinsettia plants, resulting in surprised smiles and excitement among residents at the Brothers of Mercy Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Assisted Living & Memory Care Community.

Member News United Hebrew Announces Gift For Alzheimer's, Dementia Care: United Hebrew of New Rochelle recently announced a major gift from Scarsdale residents Malcolm H. and Patricia Lazarus in support of memory care on the organization's New Rochelle campus. The gift will endow Westchester's first assisted living residence dedicated exclusively to Alzheimer's and dementia care. In appreciation, the facility will now be known as "Willow Gardens – The Patricia and Malcolm H. Lazarus Pavilion."

The organization received the second place award in the Skilled Nursing/Post-Acute Care category.
