Here's what nursing homes are doing about the Delta variant With New York's seven-day average COVID-19 positivity rate having risen from a low of 0.4 percent in late June to over 3 percent as of Aug. 9th, nursing homes across the state are taking extra precautions to keep staff and residents safe. On Aug. 9th, RiverSpring Living took action and announced that it is implementing a vaccine mandate for employees, residents, and volunteers, starting Oct. 1st.
