National Guard deployment to Catholic Health nursing homes extended

The New York State Department of Health recently announced that the National Guard’s deployment to Catholic Health’s long term care facilities has been extended through May 31st. About a dozen guard members have been helping as non-clinical extenders at three of the facilities – Father Baker Manor, McAuley Residence, and Mercy Nursing Facility at OLV – since February.

The ceremony was attended by Cabrini's sponsors, The Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus; several contractors that helped to implement the program; board members; staff; residents; and special guest Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
