Jewish Home launching Employee Grocery Store In an effort to combat the rising cost of living, Jewish Home is opening what it calls an Employee Grocery Store. The store will be open at least twice per month and stocked with staples, fresh produce, frozen goods, and more. Eligible hourly employees will be able to fill two large bags of food essentials at no cost.

Innovative Lighting Design Throughout Wartburg's New Memory Care Center An innovative lighting design has been incorporated into Wartburg’s new state-of-the-art Memory Care Center, a 50,500-square-foot residence for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia. Each of the households is designed with tunable LED lighting allowing for both color and intensity to align with the natural brain processes that regulate alertness, sleepiness, appetite, and body temperature, also referred to as circadian rhythms.

Alzheimer's care, quality of life improve with innovative immersion room A creative new room at Gurwin Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center may serve as a model for improving the quality of life and care through non-pharmacologic interventions for residents in whom Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia have been diagnosed. The room allows for expanded programming projected on walls and gives staff more opportunities to observe residents in a more relaxed, natural setting.
