Each year, Episcopal SeniorLife Communities celebrates and presents special employee awards, as well as the Generations Award, which highlights volunteers who excel in their volunteering role. This year's winners included Vicki Wilson-Frith, resident care assistant at Ashley Woods, receiving the Canon St. Julian Simpkins Employee of the Year Award; Cherish Justice, resident care assistant at Brentland Woods, receiving the Catherine Johnson Caregiver of the Year Award; Sally Radell, assistant director of nursing at the Episcopal Church Home, receiving the Austin E. Hildebrandt Award of Honor; Maureen Williams, director of resident services at Seabury Woods, receiving the Loren J. Ranaletta Award of Honor; Patty Gillett, volunteer at the Episcopal Church Home, receiving the Generations Award; and volunteers from St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, also receiving the Generations Award.

Dr. Susan Smith McKinney Nursing & Rehabilitation Center hosted its annual pre-Thanksgiving dinner party for residents on Nov. 15^th.

As part of its WellSpring Series, The Osborn will present Christina Baker Kline, author of The Exiles, on Wed., Dec. 6^th at 7:30 p.m.

United Hebrew of New Rochelle's skilled nursing facility has been recognized as a 2024 Best Nursing Home by U.S. News & World Report for both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care, placing it among the nation's best.

On Oct. 18^th, United Hebrew of New Rochelle hosted its annual Community Service Awards to honor the outstanding commitment and devotion to the welfare of Westchester County of three individuals and their organizations who are dedicated to improving the lives of those they touch.

Episcopal SeniorLife Communities (ESLC), Jewish Senior Life, St. Ann’s Community, and St. John’s were recently featured in two articles in the Senior Living and Long Term Care edition of the Rochester Business Journal. In the first article, Michelle Halloran, vice president of human resources at ESLC; Lisa Marcello, president and CEO of ESLC; Kim Oliver, director of human resources at Jewish Senior Life; and Dean Moore, vice president of work/life at St. John’s, discussed wellness initiatives to help support employees, while in the second article, Aaron Fields, chief information officer at St. Ann’s Community; Eileen Ryan-Maruke, vice president of marketing and community relations at St. Ann’s; and Travis Masonis, chief information officer at Jewish Senior Life, covered technological innovations that help the organizations enhance the quality of life for the individuals they serve.

On Nov. 10, 2023, The Osborn hosted a special Veterans Day event honoring those men and women who have graciously served our country.
