Reminder: Next Public Affairs Council Meeting Thurs., Jan. 11th!
Members are reminded that LeadingAge NY will be hosting our January Public Affairs Council meeting this Thurs., Jan. 11th at 3 p.m. During this month’s meeting, the Council will review the latest budget advocacy resources and press/advocacy activities. We plan to review key dates of the state budget process, the beginning of the 2024 Legislative Session, and plans for our 2024 Advocacy Day.
As has been discussed at previous Public Affairs Council meetings and other forums, the focus of the Council's work changes as we progress through the year and different phases of the state legislative cycle. This January discussion will be focused on 2024 budget advocacy and ensuring that all members understand what they can be doing NOW to ensure that we are set up well for the 2024 budget and legislative cycle. We continue to seek feedback from members on the PR and advocacy resources that have been created thus far, and any additional messages or tools that we can provide. The Public Affairs Council is a prime opportunity for members to weigh in, and we use your feedback to refine and capitalize on our work together.
If you have not already done so, you can sign up for the Public Affairs Council here! All Public Affairs Council meetings are held over Zoom. Please reach out to Sarah Daly at sdaly@leadingageny.org with any questions about the Council or PR/advocacy resources.
