Reminder: Next Public Affairs Council Meeting Nov. 30th!
Members are reminded that LeadingAge NY will be hosting our November Public Affairs Council meeting this Thurs., Nov. 30th at 3 p.m. During this month’s meeting, the Council will review the latest "pre-budget" advocacy resources and press/advocacy activities. We also will discuss our 2024 Advocacy Day plans and ways to ensure robust member engagement.
As has been discussed at previous Public Affairs Council meetings and other forums, the focus of the Council's work changes as we progress through the year and different phases of the state legislative cycle. This November/December discussion will be focused on 2024 budget advocacy and ensuring that all members understand what they can be doing NOW to ensure that we are set up well for the budget work that will begin in full force in January. We continue to seek feedback from members on the PR and advocacy resources that have been created thus far, and any additional messages or tools that we can provide. The Public Affairs Council is a prime opportunity for members to weigh in, and we use your feedback to refine and capitalize on our work together.
If you have not already done so, you can sign up for the Public Affairs Council here! All Public Affairs Council meetings are held over Zoom. While there will not be a meeting in December, we will resume our Council meetings and coordination in the new year, on Jan. 11th at 3 p.m. Please reach out to Sarah Daly at sdaly@leadingageny.org with any questions about the Council or PR resources.
