Join Us for Summer Public Affairs Council Meeting This Thurs., Aug. 1st!
(July 30, 2024) Members are reminded that LeadingAge NY will be hosting our summer Public Affairs Council meeting this Thurs., Aug. 1st at 3 p.m. During this month’s meeting, LeadingAge NY and member participants will debrief this year's budget and legislative activities, discuss next steps, share summer advocacy tools and messaging, and discuss opportunities to connect with elected officials amidst 2024 election season activity. We also will review several bills that LeadingAge NY is actively monitoring as they await delivery to the Governor.
The Public Affairs Council serves as a venue for Public Relations (PR) and Government Affairs professionals from LeadingAge NY member organizations to join together and coordinate advocacy and press efforts. It offers a prime opportunity for members to weigh in on our materials and strategies, and we use your feedback to refine and capitalize on our work together. While areas of discussion focus on advocacy and press, any staff member from any LeadingAge NY member organization who is interested in advocacy is welcome to join this council.
