James Sheehan Appointed Chief of Charities Bureau

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman named James Sheehan the Chief of his Office's Charities Bureau. Mr. Sheehan served for four years as the Medicaid Inspector General in New York. In his new position, Mr. Sheehan will oversee not-for-profit corporations and charitable trusts, directing the bureau’s affirmative investigations and litigation, its review of sales, mergers and dissolutions of not-for-profits and its representation of the interests of charitable beneficiaries in trusts and estates matters.
