Email Governor on Priority Legislation Today!

(Sept. 2, 2025) Although we are months away from the 2026 Legislative Session, LeadingAge NY continues to advocate on several priority bills awaiting delivery to the Governor for action. As a reminder, bills passed by both houses of the Legislature must be signed by the Governor to become law. The Governor also has the option to work with the Legislature to amend bills, or reject them with a veto. Once a bill is delivered, the Governor has 10 days to act.

As of this writing, the majority of LeadingAge NY priority bills have not yet been delivered for action. However, now is an excellent time to make your voice heard by emailing the Governor in support or opposition to the following bills.
