CCRC Legislation Expected to be Considered by the Governor

LeadingAge NY was notified by the Governor’s counsel last week that Gov. Cuomo will soon be considering Continuing Care at Home legislation (A.4611-B (Schimminger)-S.2118-B (Ranzenhofer), which would allow Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) to provide Continuing Care at Home contracts to seniors who live in their own homes, but would like to receive services provided by a CCRC. LeadingAge NY sent a letter to the Governor last week, urging him to approve this bill. At this time, we encourage you, those you employ and your residents to send a letter to the Governor, urging him to sign this legislation into law. It is critical that the Governor hear from us on this issue, so please take a few minutes out of your day to ensure that he approves this legislation.
