Calling All ACF/AL Members!

LeadingAge New York will host its annual ACF/AL Advocacy Day on Tues., April 23 in Albany.  Registration is still open – we encourage all ACF/AL members to join us for a morning briefing at the offices of LeadingAge New York’s legislative and regulatory counsel, Hinman Straub, followed by a day of meetings with state legislators, central staff and the Department of Health.  All information is available online.  We will be meeting with legislators to discuss modifying the Assisted Living Program (ALP) retention standards, criminal history record checks for ACFs, and streamlining the application/CON process for all ACF and assisted living licensure categories.  We will also be meeting with DOH leadership to discuss the survey process, regulatory reform, and expanding the role of the nurse in ACFs.  We hope to see you there.
