ACT NOW: The Final Week of the 2024 Legislative Session
(June 4, 2024) The 2024 Legislative Session is set to conclude this Thurs., June 6th. With only two days left on the calendar, legislative activity is intensifying as the session draws to a close. It is also possible that the Legislature will extend their work into Fri., June 7th to ensure that they are able to address all of their priorities. Notably, several bills related to long-term care (LTC) remain a priority for lawmakers.
Below is a list of top priority bills for LeadingAge NY members to be aware of for the final week of session, along with their current status. As you will see, most of the bills listed also have a corresponding digital letter-writing campaign – we hope you will join us in advocating FOR or AGAINST the issues that matter most to you! It only takes a few minutes to complete the digital letter-writing campaigns.
