The New York State Legislature completed its work on Sat., June 10, 2023, marking the end to another busy and productive New York State Legislative Session. LeadingAge NY tracked over 900 bills over the course of session. On Dec. 30^th, Governor Hochul acted upon three bills that would further restrict and penalize providers for the use of mandatory nurse overtime. Ultimately, two of the bills were vetoed and one bill was signed based on an agreement with the Legislature to amend the bill.
