LeadingAge NY will be hosting our November Public Affairs Council meeting this Thursday at 3 p.m. This will be the last Public Affairs Council meeting of 2023. We will resume meetings on Jan. 11, 2024.

Last week, Governor Hochul acted upon seven bills that were passed by the Legislature and that LeadingAge NY has been tracking. Here, LeadingAge NY provides a report of the actions that were taken on priority bills.

LeadingAge New York, along with a coalition of associations representing New York’s nursing homes, write to urge the Governor to include comprehensive reform of New York State’s nursing home reimbursement methodology in the State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2024-25 Executive Budget Proposal.

The New York State Legislature completed its work on Sat., June 10, 2023, marking the end to another busy and productive New York State Legislative Session. LeadingAge NY tracked over 900 bills over the course of session. Now in the final week of April, LeadingAge NY is hearing that health budget discussions are being had more frequently and that funding decisions are likely to be made over the coming days.
