State seeks input on 2018 quality measures, other aspects of VBP.

The VBP (Value-Based Payment) University will provide online information about New York’s Medicaid VBP initiatives and in-person "bootcamps."

The guidance requires MLTC plans to revise provider contracts to reward performance on quality measures, including potentially avoidable hospitalizations.

MLTC quality pool will serve as foundation for MLTC value-based payment, according to Medicaid Director Jason Helgerson's remarks at LeadingAge NY Annual Conference.

CMS announced last week the creation of a Medicare-Medicaid Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Model.

Recent activities include a meeting of Medicaid managed care plans to discuss VBP adjustments to payment rates, a “town hall” meeting with provider associations to discuss outreach and educational resources for providers, and the release of the managed long term care (MLTC) VBP Clinical Advisory Group report, which outlines the VBP framework for long term care.
