CMS has rescinded QSO 22-25-CLIA, issued on Sept. 26, 2022, which had limited the use of COVID-19 rapid antigen tests for testing asymptomatic individuals to the scope of the EUAs. As a result, providers with limited service lab registrations in New York State may continue to use any COVID-19 rapid antigen test with an EUA to test asymptomatic individuals.
