LeadingAge NY to Host Regional Director of Nursing Council Meetings
LeadingAge NY is hosting a series of regional Director of Nursing (DNS) Council meetings across the state in June. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the regional nurses meetings were a mainstay of LeadingAge NY. They provided DNSs and others attending the opportunity to get the most current information on regulatory and policy issues, as well as discuss survey findings, long term care trends, and organizational issues.
One of the most important functions of these meetings is the opportunity to share policies and procedures, best practices, and individual successes. For us at LeadingAge NY, they have allowed us to gain better insight into the issues and concerns that you deal with on an everyday basis. We are excited about the restarting of the Council meetings.
The following are the dates and locations of the meetings, as well as a registration link:

Join staff from LeadingAge NY ProCare as they discuss the current survey landscape and what deficiencies are most often being cited. ProCare consultants will share what they are seeing in their work in nursing homes and what measures nursing homes can take proactively to avoid citations. Being survey-ready is a 365-day-a-year job, and there are more actions and initiatives that a nursing home can put into place to ensure good resident care and avoid issues of non-compliance.
