New Deputy Commissioner of Health Announced

Dr. Howard Zucker, professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, has been selected as the first Deputy Commissioner of Health in the state of New York. Dr. Zucker will have various responsibilities and areas of focus, including disaster and emergency preparedness and response initiatives. Dr. Zucker will be based in New York City and will work closely with city officials. Dr. Zucker holds a J.D. from Fordham University Law School and a LL.M. from Columbia Law School.
