Register Today for “Ready, Set, Teach: Train-the-Trainer: Teaching Adult Learners” Sept. 19, 20, and 21, 2023!
In response to requests by members, LeadingAge NY ProCareSM is pleased to announce that we will be providing “Ready, Set, Teach: A Train-the-Trainer Program for Teaching Adult Learners.” This NYS Department of Health (DOH)-approved 12-hour training program has been developed with nursing home certified nursing assistant (CNA) instructors in mind, but will be helpful to any staff member who provides education in any member setting. The program satisfies the requirement of regulation 415.26 – Organization and administration – for a CNA instructor to have successfully completed a “professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners.”
This will be a virtual training via Zoom on Sept. 19, 20, and 21, 2023 from 12 to 4 p.m., presented by Karen Puglisi, BSN, MHA, LNHA.
Program Cost:
$399 per person (LeadingAge NY members)
$499 per person (non-members)
Technology Requirements:
You will need a desktop or laptop computer with high-speed internet access, speakers, microphone, and preferably a camera, as well as the latest version of Zoom installed. We recommend using Google Chrome for your internet browser.
The training will be hosted via Zoom and will be interactive, requiring participation.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Check payments can be accommodated when necessary; however, registrations will not be complete until payment is received. Full payment must be received by Thurs., Sept. 14th.
Cancellations received by Sept. 14th are refundable, less a 25 percent administrative fee. Those who are registered and cancel after that date or do not attend the event will not receive refunds and are still responsible for payment in full if not already paid.
