DOH Updates Nursing Home Visitation Guidance to Align with CMS and CDC Guidance

Fully vaccinated residents are permitted to unmask and have close contact when with fully vaccinated visitors or other fully vaccinated residents. Outdoor visitation may continue during outbreaks for any residents who are not on transmission-based precautions for confirmed or suspected COVID-19 or for an exposure as defined by the CDC.

The Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC) represents 130 medical model adult day health care (ADHC) programs, more than 90 percent of ADHC programs operating across New York State. ADHCC members serve more than 10,000 New Yorkers annually. We are the only organization that speaks exclusively for ADHC providers; we are dedicated to the continuation and expansion of adult day health care in an effort to meet the needs of the frail elderly, chronically ill, disabled adults and their caregivers.
