On Tuesday, May 28, 2013, the NYS Department of Health conducted a one-hour webinar on the UAS-NY to provide additional information concerning its statewide implementation.  LeadingAge NY submitted a number of questions and concerns to DOH as part of our ongoing effort to advocate for and support our members as they transition to the UAS-NY.  DOH addressed some of the issues we raised, but many questions remain unanswered.

The Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC) represents 130 medical model adult day health care (ADHC) programs, more than 90 percent of ADHC programs operating across New York State. ADHCC members serve more than 10,000 New Yorkers annually. We are the only organization that speaks exclusively for ADHC providers; we are dedicated to the continuation and expansion of adult day health care in an effort to meet the needs of the frail elderly, chronically ill, disabled adults and their caregivers. We offer our members outstanding operational and regulatory guidance along with state and federal advocacy and an array of educational events, useful products and resources.
