Registration Open: 2024 ADHC New Director and Staff Training Scheduled for Nov. 6th and 7th

(October 1, 2024) The Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC) will hold its 2024 Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) New Director and Staff Training on Nov. 6th and 7th. The sessions will be held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. both days and be virtual. Gail Weinstein, LeadingAge NY ProCare Consultant for ADHC programs, and Meg Everett, Executive Director of ADHCC, will present the sessions. The training program is designed exclusively for ADHC directors and staff members and is designed for staff to leave informed and better at what they do. It will help you deliver care more efficiently, prepare your program for survey, and help you focus on rebuilding while program staff provide quality care. It is worth your time and important to your ADHC business.

This program is designed for ADHC program directors and staff members with less than three years of experience in ADHC, as well as individuals seeking to increase or refresh their knowledge of Part 425 regulations or program operations. Program directors, nurses, social workers, corporate compliance officers, and nursing home administrators are encouraged to attend. Staff of programs considering reopening and those recently reopened are also highly encouraged to attend.

Register here.

The presentation will include a deep dive into the following topics:

  • ADHC Part 425, including new revisions;
  • Comprehensive overview of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Rule policies, procedures, and responsibilities;
  • Operational requirements and best practices, and their timing;
  • Leading, supporting, and getting the most out of your staff;
  • Best practices for documentation;
  • Census building and referral sources; and
  • Answers to Frequently Asked Questions, including those not readily apparent in regulation and guidance.

Obtain answers to your questions, solutions to operational challenges, and take steps to implement change and growth of your program. New directors and staff, as well as longstanding ADHC program directors and staff members, will learn new ideas to take back to your program. The program will be in a presentation format with ample opportunity for questions, conversation, and frank discussion. Bring your questions, concerns, and ideas to this training.

To allow a candid conversation, the presentation will not be recorded.
