Register Now: 2024 ADHC Director and Staff Training Scheduled for Nov. 6th and 7th

(Oct. 21, 2024) The Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC) will hold its 2024 Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) Director and Staff Training on Nov. 6th and 7th. Sessions will be held from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. both days and be virtual. Gail Weinstein, LeadingAge NY ProCare Consultant for ADHC programs, and Meg Everett, Executive Director of ADHCC, will present the sessions.

This program is designed for ADHC program directors and staff members with less than three years of experience in ADHC, as well as individuals seeking to increase or refresh their knowledge of Part 425 regulations or program operations. Program directors, nurses, social workers, corporate compliance officers, and nursing home administrators are encouraged to attend. Staff of programs considering reopening and those recently reopened are also highly encouraged to attend.

Register here.

The presentation will include a deep dive into the following topics:

  • ADHC Part 425, including new revisions;
  • Comprehensive overview of Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Rule policies, procedures, and responsibilities;
  • Operational requirements and best practices, and their timing;
  • Leading, supporting, and getting the most out of your staff;
  • Best practices for documentation and policy and procedures;
  • Census building and referral sources; and
  • Answers to Frequently Asked Questions, including those not readily apparent in regulation and guidance.

New directors and staff, as well as longstanding ADHC program directors and staff members, will learn new ideas to take back to your program. The program will be in a presentation format with ample opportunity for questions, conversation, and frank discussion of issues not readily clear from regulation and guidance. Bring your questions, concerns, and ideas to this training.

To allow a candid conversation, the presentation will not be recorded.
