CMS Provides States with Strategies to Strengthen Medicare-Medicaid Integration

In a Dec. 19th letter to State Medicaid Directors, CMS outlined 10 opportunities for improving integration between Medicare and Medicaid services for dual eligibles, including expansion of enrollment in D-SNPs, inclusion of certain provisions in state contracts with D-SNPs, expansion of PACE programs, sharing of Medicare data, and simplifying enrollment in the Medicare Savings Program.

The Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC) represents 130 medical model adult day health care (ADHC) programs, more than 90 percent of ADHC programs operating across New York State. ADHCC members serve more than 10,000 New Yorkers annually. We are the only organization that speaks exclusively for ADHC providers; we are dedicated to the continuation and expansion of adult day health care in an effort to meet the needs of the frail elderly, chronically ill, disabled adults and their caregivers.
