State is developing a plan to address a projected $6.1 billion budget gap in the current fiscal year that includes Medicaid cost containments.

As a result of recent events involving the United States and Iran and the threat of retaliation (potentially cyber-based) by Iran, DOH is urging health care providers and local health departments to exercise increased vigilance for potential cyber events.

The Work Group met on Dec. 11^th to discuss strategies for strengthening and expanding VBP arrangements under Medicaid managed care and MLTC.

Medicaid providers are required to complete OMIG certifications by year’s end, while Medicare providers must be aware that claims containing old Medicare card numbers will be rejected starting Jan. 1^st.
