Mission

LeadingAge New York Services Inc. was established on March 3, 1993, as a wholly-owned for-profit subsidiary of LeadingAge New York (LeadingAgeNY). LeadingAge New York Services explores programs that integrate the need and delivery of appropriate member services to LeadingAge New York members by arrangements with selected providers to furnish comprehensive subject outlines, explicit standards for selection, formal programs for ongoing quality assurance and a significant financial incentive for LeadingAge New York members to use endorsed providers associated with LeadingAge New York Services.

By way of an extensive evaluation process, LeadingAge New York Services pursues its goal of helping to control the skyrocketing costs member facilities experience without sacrificing the quality of goods and products member facilities receive.

LeadingAge New York Services is committed to working in the best interest of the LeadingAge New York membership and offering services that support their efforts. To this end, LeadingAge New York Services continues to offer various member services through education, publications, conferences and consultation, as well as direct endorsement of services and products to facilitate the operation of LeadingAge New York member facilities.

Statement of Operating Philosophy

Original Mission Statement - March 1993

"The mission of LeadingAge New York Services Inc. is to develop potential programs and high-quality services and products to offer members of LeadingAge New York(LeadingAgeNY).

Services and products are designed to respond to the current and future needs of LeadingAge New York member organizations and others in the field of long term care, to enhance both quality of care for residents and to improve the operational efficiency of providers. The delivery of these services will be accomplished in a manner which will strengthen the final and business operation of LeadingAge New York."

LeadingAge New York Services is a for-profit business that seeks to maximize revenues to allow financial support to be directed to LeadingAge New York via indirect cost allocation and program sponsorships.

By providing members with quality products and services, LeadingAge New York Services helps members become more cost-effective and enables them to better fulfill their missions.

LeadingAge New York Services will extend these products and services to non-members with the intent that these activities will eventually benefit the members of LeadingAge New York.
