LeadingAge NY Calls for Investment of DSRIP 2.0 Funds in Long-Term Care Workforce and Innovative Models

In comments submitted to DOH on its draft application to extend and renew the DSRIP program, LeadingAge NY requested the allocation of 40 percent of DSRIP 2.0 funds to the LTPAC sector for purposes such as workforce recruitment and retention, implementation of innovative models of care, and investment in telehealth and health information technology.

The Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC) represents 130 medical model adult day health care (ADHC) programs, more than 90 percent of ADHC programs operating across New York State. ADHCC members serve more than 10,000 New Yorkers annually. We are the only organization that speaks exclusively for ADHC providers; we are dedicated to the continuation and expansion of adult day health care in an effort to meet the needs of the frail elderly, chronically ill, disabled adults and their caregivers. We offer our members outstanding operational and regulatory guidance along with state and federal advocacy and an array of educational events, useful products and resources.
