CDC Updates COVID-19 Recommendations for Health Care Settings

The CDC has issued updates to its COVID-19 infection prevention guidance for health care personnel and guidance for managing exposed and infected health care personnel. It has also retired its nursing home-specific infection prevention guidance and incorporated guidance for nursing homes into the more general guidance. In addition, CMS has updated its nursing home visitation guidance and testing guidance to align with the CDC guidance.

The Adult Day Health Care Council (ADHCC) represents 130 medical model adult day health care (ADHC) programs, more than 90 percent of ADHC programs operating across New York State. ADHCC members serve more than 10,000 New Yorkers annually. We are the only organization that speaks exclusively for ADHC providers; we are dedicated to the continuation and expansion of adult day health care in an effort to meet the needs of the frail elderly, chronically ill, disabled adults and their caregivers. We offer our members outstanding operational and regulatory guidance along with state and federal advocacy and an array of educational events, useful products and resources.
