Two Weeks Until LeadingAge National's Leadership Summit and Lobby Day!
LeadingAge NY members are strongly encouraged to join us in Washington, D.C. from April 15th-17th for LeadingAge National’s 2024 Leadership Summit and Lobby Day! Leadership Summit attendees will have the opportunity to attend educational sessions and hear about proactive solutions to the challenges of today and the future and influence the nation’s decision-makers via a coordinated lobbying effort on Capitol Hill. The national Lobby Day effort will be held on the final day of the summit and is your chance to meet face to face with members of Congress and advocate for improved federal funding and policies to support aging services for older adults and our workforce.
This year, the Leadership Summit is structured in a way that allows attendees to participate in lobby efforts without missing any educational sessions or opportunities. All education sessions will conclude by Tues., April 16th, and the next day, advocates will come together for an early morning breakfast session before heading to Capitol Hill.
Sarah Daly and Annalyse Komoroske Denio of LeadingAge NY will be attending the summit and Lobby Day, and will be attending all lobby day meetings with NY member advocates. Meetings are being organized by LeadingAge National, so all we need to do as advocates is register and book our travel accommodations!
You do not need to be a lobbyist or policy wonk to be an advocacy champion. Your on-the-ground expertise is our most valuable asset in advocacy. Together, we can amplify our unified voice to raise awareness about the most critical issues impacting aging services providers, our employees, and the older adults and families we serve.
